• Add to Inquiry Basket | Diamant ltd provides replication materials that are epoxy based and are available in both putty and fluid forms for ease of application. These replication techniques significantly reduce the time and cost of manufacture of machine tools, since they basically change the building process. Replication materials are of two types: the first ones are used for fitting static components having flexural strength equivalent to that of steel, such as fitting a column square to a base i.E. Diamant dwh; the second type are used to produce sliding or dynamic surfaces like for e.G.- mating a cnc lathe saddle square on the bed ways i.E. Diamant moglice. Due to more demanding technical requirements the formulation of dynamic materials is more critical. Dynamic materials need low co-efficient of friction, high wear properties, low abrasion rates and a greater resistance to chemicals and coolants. The replication materials being epoxy-based, can be moulded to fit virtually any slide surface including hydrostatic guides, bushings, dovetails, vee ways, round ways, quills, etc.; which leads to cost savings. The epoxy replicates the accurate surface onto the mating component within 5 microns per metre accuracy while that component is in its correct alignment. The utilization of this procedure eliminates the need for many precision machining, scraping, grinding, or jig boring operations and also makes in-field of manufacturing and building of machine tools more practical.
