These instruments are reciprocating positive displacement plunger type pumps which reciprocate positive displacement plunger type pumps. These type of pumps have varieties of application in heavy chemical plants, pharmaceutical plants, water treatment plants, dairies, petrochemical, fertiliser plants, breweries, paper and pulp, sugar mills, dust suppression unit in cement and coaliaries, tanneries and many other industries. Some of the special features include: adjustable stroke from 0 to 100 per cent, while in operating or at rest adjustment is micrometric; pumping done by positive displacement of the liquid; any nature of liquid, either acidic or alkaline, can be handled by these pumps; least maintenance with maximum efficiency; easy for operation; power consumption is nominal; gears run soundless in oil bath; and very less space requirement. The duplex plunger metering and dosing pumps are best suited for feeding the exact quantity [metered volume] of the liquid. Following are some of the constructional features of these dosing pumps which include: these metering and dosing pumps are manufactured in cast iron, ss304/316, alloy-20, ghastalloy, polypropylene, hylam, polypick-1000, teflon, ceramic, as per customer`s specific requirements. The duplex metering pumps are best suited for use either as duplex pumps or multihead metering pumps. These dosing pumps are supplied on a common base with special motors, like totally enclosed fan cooled, flameproof, explosion-proof or weather-proof to have extra safety. |
