Jindal electricals has introduced automatic voltage controllers to save energy. Generally, all electrical equipments in india are designed for 415 v 3-phase and 230 v single phase power supply. So, if they are operating near to 100% load, the working of any electrical equipment will be best at this level of voltage. Thus, when operating at designed voltage, the efficiency and life will also be maximum.. It has been observed that most of the industries [approx 95%] in india run in a single shift, normally operate at low voltage during day time and very few industries operate round the clock and face high voltage problem to the tune of 450/450 v during night hours for few hours say from 11 pm to 5 am. This higher voltage causes high power consumption, more breakdown of electrical equipments, increase in mdi and reduction in power factor especially during this period.
