| By eliminating reactive power, power factor of power supply in the industry has to be kept near 1/0 [upf] to keep input currents at its lowest level. Equipments like motors, transformers, reactors and electronic controls draw reactive power [lag], which should be compensated using capacitors in the shunt connection parallel to the system. Capacitors are useful to draw reactive lead current, and cancel the "lag" current. South eastern equipment co [seeco] manufactures automatic power factor controller with feature to draw variable "lead" current amount from a capacitor bank by changing the voltage applied to the capacitors, since the capacitor kvar changes according to the square of the applied voltage. This automatic power factor controller comes with technical specifications like 415v, 3 and 4 wire voltage; 50 hz frequency; delta connection; dimensions only on request; 50°c ambient temperature; and indoor operational environment. The user must provide specifications like type of seeco automatic pf controller, system voltage, maximum power [kw] and minimum power [kw], maximum kva and lowest pf, generally 0.999 desired constant pf, motors, reactors, transformers cnc machines thyristor drivers, etc type of loads, required accuracy. The company supplies automatic power factor controllers in varied range of capacity including 230 v, 1 kw to 50 kw single phase; and 415 v, 50 hz 4-wire 50 kw to 7.5 mw in three phase.
