The trans-oxide pigment range comprises yellow and red pigments and also a unique brown pigment for which rockwood holds a patent. The range includes `neutral` products which are suitable in most applications areas, and also `acidic` reds and yellows for specialist applications, thus providing the most extensive transparent iron oxide pigment range. This pigment provides high levels of transparency combined with excellent chemical stability, durability and ultraviolet absorption properties. Being inorganic pigments, they are non - bleeding, non - migratory and are not soluble allowing good effects to be achieved in both solvent and water based systems. Trans-oxide pigments are most appropriately applicable in paints, wood finishes, artist colours, industrial coatings, some plastic applications and cosmetics.
