| Komet manufactures pcd milling tools for cutting aluminium which have materials with high silicon content such as cast aluminium alloys and are applicable in building aircraft, produce heavy wear on standard cutting materials. For this reason polycrystalline diamond cutting materials [pcd] with high degree hardness and high resistance to wear are used in this area. These pcd milling tools are available with multiple insert tools which offer up to 2500 m/min cutting speeds. The instruments can provide feed rates in rapid traverse range with appropriate tooth feed. The machine tools do not define application data but the efficiency of the machine tools. The komet group also manufactures an extensive range of products for hsc operations on aluminium in areas of solid drilling, roughing, reaming, thread cutting and milling. Using multi-functional insert geometry, parts can be produced quickly, flexibly and to higher quality.
