The Carbazochrome Salicylate Injection is a systemic hemostat that is advocated for bleeding tendency [e.G. Purpura] due to reduced capillary resistance or increased capillary permeability.Each ml of Sigmachrome Injection contains Carbazochrome salicylate equivalent to Adrenochrome monosemicarbazone 5 mg; and Benzyl alcohol [as preservative] 2.5% v/v. The injection comes in 10 ml vials.
Therapeutic Indications & Usage of Carbazochrome Salicylate Injection are:
- Bleeding from skin - burns, mucosa - hematemesis, malena, epistaxis, hematuria, hemoptysis, hemorrhagic gingivitis, or endometrium - menorrhagia, due to decreased capillary resistance, bleeding from the fundus of the eye, renal bleeding and bleeding from the uterus.
- Abnormal bleeding due to reduced capillary resistance during or after surgery.
- Sigmachrome is also advocated for prevention and treatment of pre- and post-operative bleeding. It is useful for all delicate operations including those for highly vascularized tissues: ENT, gynecology, obstetrics, urology, odontostomatology, ophthalmology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, oncosurgery.
