• Add to Inquiry Basket | Twin tech india, an iso 9001:2000 company, manufactures self-amalgamating insulating tape for electrical and electronic industries, panel makers, projects, electrical contactors, electrical utilities, etc. These insulating tape are available with salient features like electrical properties like superior volume resistivity, high breakdown voltage; resistance to polluted atmosphere, saline water and weather; self amalgamating properties and exceptional ozone resistance; beneficial compared with pvc heat shrinkable sleeves or pvc tape; and do crack or separate with expansion or contraction stress. The self-amalgamating insulating tapes offer advantages like seals out moisture and contaminants, etc; non-ageing, water proof, high temperature; and in black colour. The self-amalgamating insulating tapes are useful for a wide range of applications like automatic wrapping, electrical insulation, moisture protection, high or low temperature applications. These tapes are ideal for replacing the heat shrinkable tapes/sleeves and also find applications in underwater; busbars, overhead service connections, jumper wires, transformer connections, for wrapping of ht bare conductors where frequent bird fault may occur and also in urban areas where it is hazardous; and making weatherproof joints for telecommunication cable. The insulated tapes are used when the surface is cleaned and degreased thoroughly by solvent residueless cleaner. The tape contains plastic liner with features of 25-30% stretch and wrap with moderate tension with half overlap. The insulated tapes with last lap are applied with zero stretch and pressed down in order to avoid end lifting before fusion takes place. The tape will start amalgamating within 1-2 hours and full amalgamation will finish within 24 hours. The company supplies these self-amalgamating insulated tapes in 38 mm x 0.76 mm x 9.1 mtrs 1 packing roll.
