Shredder alfa- therm ltd. Is to reduce the size and volume of the solid waste. The shredded waste can be incinerated much easily or can be stored in much lesser area.
It provides low energy consumption and noise & friction heat. Changing of knives and maintenance or cleaning of machine can be done very easily. Fines cannot get in the bearings. Bearing grease cannot get in the cutting chamber.
The main housing is fabricated out of heavy duty mild steel plates in two parts. The top part having hinged type is open able arrangement for easy cleaning and to adjust the blade. The lower part is fitted with screen/mesh and is hinged type open able arrangement for cleaning the screen.
The rotor is made from material best suited and mounted on robust heavy duty pillow block, self aligning bearing fitted outside the main housing. Three numbers of rotary blades are fitted on the rotor. Shredding blades are made from alloy steel, duly heat treated. The drive is by an electric motor of capacity 5hp 1440 rpm. Main switch/dol starter is provided in the shredder.
The feeding hoper is specially designed, fabricated out of steel and mounted on main housing of the shredder. Limit switch is provided on the feeding hoper which will switch-off the motor if the motor is opened while the shredding process is on. Shredded material is collected in a separate bin which is placed below the main housing.
