These glow-wire test apparatus used to carry out tests specified in many standards to check the resistance to fire in the moulded insulator material parts of electrical accessories, like domestic switches, mcbs, elcbs, etc. Testing of the electro-technical products with regard to fire hazard is to create exactly the conditions occurring in practice. The testing of electro technical parts/products are tested with regard to fire hazard by the simulating as closely as possible the actual effects occurring in practice. This test set up does create such simulation as described in the respective is code is: 11 000 [part 2/sec 1] 1984 and lec pub 695-2-1 [19801. Fire hazard testing glow wire test and guidance is applicable to switches for domestic and similar purposes as well as other electro-technical equipments. |
