Promtech chemicals supplies offers chloriten. Chloriten is , a specially formulated sodium hypochlorite based chemical. This chemical finds its applications inextremely useful for the process of total destruction of simple and complex cyanides. Most outstanding feature of this chemical is, chloriten is stable for 60 90 days under recommended conditions of storage.
Following are some technical features of these chemicals which include: industrial waste waters emanating from electroplating plants, heat treatment plants and cyanides in simple and complex forms are totally neutralised into carbon dioxide and nitrogen by oxidation process, by addition of calculated dosage of chloriten. It is a liquid and the percentage of available chlorine ranges from 7 % to 9 % depending upon the process requirements. Some chemical properties of this chemical are as follows: it is a highly alkaline, pale yellow liquid, having strong smell of chlorine. It is non flammable, non toxic and non hazardous. It has a property of undergoing photo chemical decomposition and hence shall be stored in closed jars, away from sunlight. Chloriten is stable for 60 90 days under recommended conditions of storage.
