| Promtech chemicals has introduced corbitor, an excellent additive for the hydrochloric acid/sulfuric acid pickling baths. Corbitor is fume retardant, foam booster and it includes acid inhibition. . It also features wetting properties to the bath. This very substantially enhances the cleaning process by quick removal of oil and grease, dust and dirt, rust and scales from the metal. Corbitor is useful in hydrochloric acid pickling baths at a concentration of 0.5 -1% of the pickling tank volume. All hot rolled steel sheets/angles/channels/beams/ poles/i-beams and fabricated components are dipped in the pickling bath solution, before galvanizing/phosphating, electroplating and similar metal finishing operations.
