The Shear Head Type Mechanical Connectors are suitable for 1.1KV cable connections for all ranges from 4cX16 sq. Mm to 4cX500 sq. Mm. Theses connectors are suitable for circular and sector shaped conductors for both Aluminium and copper. A brass gauge is provided with every connector which is to be wound over copper conductor which takes care of the bimetallic reaction between Aluminium and Copper material. The Shear Head Type Mechanical Connectors are suitable for parallel and single branch joints. These are very easy to install and require no special tools. A ratchet spanner is used to shear the bolts after tightening the connectors firmly on the conductor.
