Rinano coating of the condenser of rittal toptherm cooling units keeps cooling output constant over a longer time and saves time and cost. Nano technology is a trend topic in many industries. As the top global supplier of housing and industrial enclosure systems rittal is utilising the positive properties of this innovative surface-enhancement technology in the field of system climate control. In respect of heat exchangers in particular, the heat output can deteriorate by 30 to 50% with increasing contamination of the cooling fins. Rittal is now offering under the designation rinano for its toptherm cooling units of series sk 3303/ 3304/3305/3384 optionally condensers with nano-coating. In this way, the cooling output of the units can be maintained constant over a longer period because of the water-, dirt- and oil-repellent effects. By means of a thin glass-like sealing layer on the fins the contamination of the cooling units is significantly reduced. This saves the customer time and costs because of less contamination the condensers are easier to clean and, on the other hand, the intervals between expensive maintenance jobs are extended. In many applications, with dry dust for instance, filter mats are no longer required. In case of applications with oil-bearing air where metal filters are used the service life of the latter also increases.
