| Goldaire is a humidity control solution based on desiccant dehumidifying technology utilizes a solid desiccant rotor, consisting of stabilized silica gel bonded to a high heat-resistant substrate that is slowly rotated by a drive motor. As the air passes through the fluted rotor, it adsorbs moisture from process air that is ducted to the unit and blown through an approximately 70% of the rotor surface. This produces very dry discharge air with extremely low relative humidity, which is ducted to the ahu or area being treated to facilitate drying or other moisture control applications. Heat is applied to the remaining 30% of the rotor surface to reactivate the desiccant material. The resulting wet air discharge is vented outside. Goldaire incorporates the mos1 advanced and energy efficient honeycomb rotor medium. Since the metal silicate is chemically synthesized and bound into a honeycomb matrix devoid of any binder, it enables effective exploitation of the adsorption capacity of metal silicate. Having a perimeter metallic band, the rotor has teeth located around the perimeter to ensure is smooth, slip-free rotation with a belt-drive mechanism.
