Jaws are made of steel heat-treated with gripping portion hardened to a hardness 55 to 60 hrc. The screw and thrust bearings are of alloy steel hardened to a hardness 30 to 40 hrc. Fitting on every part within close tolerance gives the chuck a very rigid and accurate grip. Better quality materila with proper heat-treatment gives long life to chuck. Spares being easily available, a quick and better service is possible. All chucks are supplied with inspection chart cum mounting instructions.
