| Kashmir machine tools offers ground thread hss taps. These are precisely made taps for production of thread tapping of nuts made of mild steel, alloy steel and stainless steel. Nut taps are made from selected high-speed steel, which is carefully machined and heat-treated. Heat-treatment is done in-house utilising high temperature salt bath furnace equipped with radiation based temperature controlling system under strict supervision of qualified and trained personnel. Threads are ground on world-class thread grinding machines. Thread parameters are checked on profile projection machine and taps size are controlled using latest metrology equipments. Strict quality control measures are adopted at every stage of manufacturing. Kmt taps are manufactured in following types: i] hand taps and short nut taps - these are the most produced taps for production tapping of nuts. These taps have a long relieved thread portion resulting uniform gradual cutting load on taps resulting better life and high production; ii] machine taps - these taps find application where tapping is done with tapping attachments. These are made in set of 3 pieces; iii] pipe thread taps - these taps are for thread cutting in pipes fitting and allied jobs. These are made in parallel of tapered threading as per standards.
