The spcp 0500 is corrosion resistant austenitic stainless steel electrode
A heavy coated basic type all position electrode giving a smooth arc, medium penetration and nil spatter.
The slag peels off leaving a smooth bead having fine ripples.
The weld deposit can withstand temperature upto 1200deg.C in continuous service resistance to chemical corrosion and heat.
Has a uts of 67 kgf/mm & elongation of 30%
Used for hv 9a stainless steel and similar alloys for high temperature service, for fabrication carpenter 20 stainless steel for applications where resistance to severe corrosion is required. For wide range of chemicals including sulphuric and sulphurous acids and their salts. For repair of casting having similar chemical composition.
