The spac 0400 is a special electrode, from ador fontech. It has the following distinct features:
Spac 0400 is an electrode for welding of inconel 600 and similar nickel base composition alloys
The spac 0400 has an alloy basis of ni, cr, mn, fe
The electrode gives soft stable arc on low currents.
Deposits are tough and have resistance to scaling at high temperatures and corrosion resistance at both normal and elevated temperatures.
Also possesses thermal shock resistance.
The weld metal exhibits very good fracture toughness at -196 c.
Very good resistance to general and inter granular corrosion and stress corrosion cracking.
Deposits are similar to enicrfe-3.
It has a uts of 78 kgf/mm & elongation of 32%
Basic flux coated nickel base electrode is used for welding of inconel 600, inconel, monel, nickel-chromium-iron alloys, hk alloys, stainless and heat resisting steels.
Also for welding dissimilar metals such as carbon steels, stainless steels, nickel and
Nickel alloys to each other. For use on equipment and components made of pure nickel etc.
