The lh-109 welding alloy, from ador fontech, is an electrode for joining stainless steel [ss] & for depositing ss overlays on carbon steel. It is characterized by the following important features:
The lh-109 has an alloy basis of iron, chromium, manganese, molybdenum & nickel
The electrode gives smooth & stable arc
It is easy to operate
The slag peels off easily leaving a smooth, shining bead
The dense bead makes surfacing work easy & fats
The weld metal is ductile & tough & is impact resistant
It has a uts of 65 kfg/sq.Mm & elongation of 35%.Hardness of 19rc with a 130% metal recovery
The lh-109 is used for welding stainless steels to carbon steels, low alloy steels, cast steels & austenitic manganese steel parts. Depositing stainless tough overlay on cast steel parts. Rebuilding of impellers, shafts, valve faces & seats & turbine lads to provide resistance to heat, abrasion, erosion & corrosion.
